ReaSen
HEKA ReaSen (Research on Sensorics) brings together scientists from diverse disciplines who contribute research on perception and its role in shaping human experience.
We invite researchers working across neuroscience, psychology, anthropology, philosophy, cognitive science and related fields to engage with HEKA’s artistic and spatial practices. By exploring the intersection of sensory engagement and social connection, their insights help deepen our understanding of how tactile, spatial and atmospheric interactions shape perception, identity and community.
HEKA ReaSen does not position science as an external authority, but as a dialogical partner. Scientific research informs the development of installations and experiences, while artistic practices, in turn, open new questions and perspectives for scientific reflection. Knowledge emerges through exchange rather than hierarchy.
At its core, HEKA ReaSen is driven by a shared search for meaning, for sense (“Sinn”). Much like art, religion and philosophy science seeks to understand the deeper structures of life and the universe. While methodologies differ, the underlying orientation converges: a commitment to truth, coherence and understanding beyond mere utility.
Together, HEKA ReaSen aims to bridge divisions within an increasingly fragmented society. By fostering dialogue and collaboration across disciplines and worldviews, we work toward a collective vision that honors shared human experience grounded in perception, relation and hope.
